When grandparents face the difficult challenge surrounding their own child’s inability to parent, they are forced to ask: What will we do about this? For many, the choice they make is guardianship and eventually adoption. Not much attention has been given to the emotional and psychological effects of this decision on the grandparents. This workshop will address the emotional issues and offer information to workers who support grandparents.
